I am a beginner, should I go for soft tip or steel tip?Soft tip darts are generally lighter weight than steel tip darts. Commonly used barrel weights are 14 to 20 grams that is more forgiving and easier to learn for beginners. Steel tip darts are much heavier ranging from 20 to 30 grams.

Is it more safe than steel tip dart?Soft tip is considered safer than steel tip. The molded plastic tip has the tendency to deform when it hits. There is less chance to cause injury to people around and wall damage during play. In contrast, the sharp steel tips can cause more significant injuries and damage for beginners and in family setting.
